Unit Leadership

IST is governed by a volunteer leadership team who serve as the Board of Directors of the organization and provide operational leadership for mission response.


Gabe Marcus
President

A member of IST since 2013, Gabe is also a field responder with King County Explorer Search and Rescue and the 4X4 Search and Rescue unit. Gabe is an Emergency Medical Technician and works as a Disaster and Business Continuity Planner for a local major corporation.  He additionally serves as Secretary for the Washington Search and Rescue Volunteer Advisory Council.
Belinda Cummins

Belinda joined IST in 2014. She is also a member of ESAR and has logged over 720 hours of time on missions and training.
Paul Davison

A member of IST since 2007, Paul brings expertise in the Incident Command System to unit operations. Professionally he works as a Lieutenant and Medical Services Officer with the Bellevue Fire Department, and he serves as an instructor for a variety of Search and Rescue topics.
Melanie Willden
Training Director
training@kcist.org
A member of IST since 2015, Melanie is also a field responder with King County Explorer Search and Rescue and the 4X4 Search and Rescue unit. She has also been involved with the Community Emergency Response Team. Melanie has previous experience as an instructor in the Mountaineers, and the Boy Scouts of America. She has worked in public education since 1993. Melanie is currently employed as an educator in the Kent School District.
